I keep getin conflicts every time i try to save a setting or login with the vb user.

can ypu give me more details.And i think that i am ussing latest version of php since i am using vbulletin 4.1.6

Well, what version of PHP are you using? You should be able to view phpinfo in your admincp -> maintenance section..

This requires PHP version 5.3 or higher..
