My favorite text editor for PHP
Ok, what is your favorite text editor for editing or writing PHP?
Here is the one I use and it is 100% free: http://liquidninja.com/metapad/ It is a notepad replacement and has way many more options than notepad BUT not too many where it becomes bloated. This is basically the jackknife of my IT toolbox. |

I'd been using notepad++ as it was suggested by the instructor at the college I attend, but my only complaint is being unable to bring up a new instance. I run dual-monitors and would like side-by-side instances running while still being able to utilize tabs. I may have to check out Jeffs suggestion and see what that's like, as I never heard of it till now. But notepad++, despite being a bit heavy which is no problem here, has been an excellent editor for many languages! I do appreciate when doing code like Java that I can set it to auto compile and run the source without having to resort to a DOS window.
